for PATTAYA TRADER 137 (A)

THE-PROSPEROUS-PROSPERO'S-
SO-DREAMY-DAUGHTER
Wizard on an island,
Prospero the island-man;
along with Ariel the fairy
and monstrous Caliban.
Miranda, ah Miranda,
daughter of Prospero;
such stuff as dreams are made of:
your father tells us so.

IT'S-NOT-EVEN-ANGELS-
FEEL-FIT-TO-GO-TO-HIGHER-HEAVEN
The nuns borded the plane like penguins
on their way to Rome's much warmer clime.
Black-and-white-robed this flock of virgins
there above the clouds, in the sunshine,
far-nearer to heaven than earthly-things.
Then came a turbulence, now shudderings.
They prayed like hell. Not yet ready for angel-wings !

NO-BALDERDASH-WAS-
ARNOLD'S-SURE
Poet Arnold knew his Norse,
he climbed upon dead Balder's horse
and through-magic-trees-of-ash
the poet was then to dash,
and leave us with the verse-lines
that told of very-old Nordic times.

JOLLY-OLD-ROGER
"Aye lass,
got ye in me spyglass.
Yer beauty do-I-encompass.
I'm yer pistol and yer cutlass !"
