A-VIOLIN-VOYAGER
Nero may have fiddled
while Rome burnt down,
but a noble-spirited violinist -
with panic all-around -
played upon the Titanic
knowing that he would drown.
He was very much a hero.
Not to be said for evil Nero.
LEAR-AND-BEER-LINES
There was a man named Lear
who'd a Limerick-listening ear.
He wrote verses five-lined -
and all of them rhymed -
sat drinking frothy beer.
THE-WHOLE-IST-LIST'S-
NOT-HERE
There are the pugilists and pacifists.
The sadists and the masochists.
The capitalists and the communists.
The fascists and the anarchists.
The humanists and the cutwrists.
