Burning ice,
biting flame,
this is how life
into being came.
The frost giants.
The fairies.

Allfathered these
Odin, Asgard as well.
The old tales tell.

FOR-THE-GOOD-MAN-WHOM-HERSELF-IS-SO-ALIKE
Folklore tells the Isle of Man
is named after the seagod Manannan,
he of the Emerald Isle.
An Irish girl with seagreen eyes
swims across the pool and sighs
"Dream of a good merman I."
