INCURABLY-ROMANTIC
I bought the girl roses.
I bought her chocolates too.
The flowers were to fade,
the sweets turn to sticky-goo.
She didn't keep the date
because of teeming rain.
The girl forgot to phone.
With someone-else go try again.
A DULL-DINNER-DUO-NOT
I cooked a meal for two.
We sat down to dine.
I uncorked the bottle
and poured us some wine.
Her glass was half-empty.
My glass was half-full.
I drank hers, she drank mine.
Find the night sure wasn't dull !
