was not as haggard as 'She' -
the character he created -
at the end of the story.
No H. Rider Haggard
had other stuff to mine.
His 'She' wasn't such a diamond
at the end of her time.
GIANT PEACHES WERE NOT THE ONLY FRUIT ?
Dahl had his demons.
He called them Gremlins.
They got into the controls
as well as sat on aeroplane wings.
They got into his story,
sure did strange things.
Gave him ideas for which he got no flak,
like Willy Wanker, chocolate factory round back !
