A-WORLD-WAR'S-TOTAL-TWO
You were angry
but also bloody,
like a red-rag
to the big-bully.
Two extremes
will always meet
if not in battle
in human defeat.
THE-HAPPY-OLD-CITY-CHIMED-
AND-WAS-CHARMED-CHARLIE
The City viewed,
and marvelled at,
the firworks display
in a London that
is home to Big Ben who
never wore a tophat.
Charles Dickens did.
He shaped Christmastime.
Now it was New Year,
Ben and crowds chimed
and the City's black sky
was alight with happiness find.
