She's a voodoo doll
and an unpinned butterfly
with whom men
surely desire to lie.
But not for her
the living hell
of a broken-marriage,
gone the spell.
And not for her
the collector's glass-coffin.
THE-STICKLEBACK-JACK'S-NOT-HE
Ride upon a salmon
did tiny Pebblebrook Jack,
better than to go ride
on a prickly stickleback.
Ride upon a salmon
or a rainbow-trout,
sticklebacks stay in water,
while salmon-and-trout leap out.
