NOT THE ELEPHANT-HEADED GOD
YOU WILL FIND
Unlike the god Ganesh
made of mortal flesh
was the Elephant Man.
A cruel enormity
was his deformity
but not his life-span.
Heavy the load -
upon life's-road -
for this Victorian.
