A BLACK PEARL
All the words rhymed,
the girl sang in tune.
A pearl before swine,
reason left the barroom.
The white-folk jeered
in the cowboy saloon.
"No blacks, no red men,"
spat into the spittoon
the wild west males.
Outside a white-moon -
supported by black-space -
spotlighted the saloon.
